CORPORATE LEAGUE TOUCH RUGBY – starts 10th June 2009 (Cessange)

Summer is upon us, and we are looking for teams to join the 2009 Corporate League Touch Rugby – due to start on Wednesday June 10th with the Final taking place at the Annual Kick Cancer into Touch tournament in August.

This year we are looking again for 16 teams, 4 pools of 4 teams each. Each team should be able to field a team for the duration of the competition.

It is a 7 a side competition, played on approx. ½ rugby pitch.

General team subscription is EUR 100 per team of max. 12 players to be paid up before the start of the competition, all the funds raised will go to the Kick Cancer Into Touch Charity after expenses – expected expenses: the winner’s cup and any incidentals, this Competition is run on a voluntary basis and not for profit.

The account for payment is as follows, please mention the name of the team for which payment is remitted: IBAN LU67 0019 2055 8618 5000 BIC BCEELULL KICKCANCERINTOTOUCH A.S.B.L

Each team will appoint a captain who will be our point of contact and who is in charge of organising the team for the each round of the competition, the playing schedule will be communicated to the captain and results will be posted on the KCIT website or face book page.

Before the start of the competition, each team should submit a team list, a player can play & commit for 2 teams (only if appearing on the team sheet of each team). A replacement player is allowed for injury (injured player is out for the duration of the competition).

Bonus points will be awarded for:

  • team that fields the team per team sheet;
  • team fields 2 female players and/or 2 U17s, or combination;
  • a try by female player or U17 (so each try counts for 2 points);

This competition is for all – there are no age, height, weight, sex, ethnic, or religious restrictions on participation though it is recommended that participations are physically healthy (please check with your doctor).

Closing date for entry is June 5th, 2009.
