Tax Meeting with Ministry of Finance
On 12 December 2017 representatives of the Tax Group of the British Chamber of Commerce for Luxembourg had a meeting with senior officials at the Ministry of Finance. During the meeting the participants discussed important matters stemming from the BCC Survey on the Tax Competitiveness of Luxembourg, amid reports from members that some of the advantages that made Luxembourg so attractive relative to its neighbours and the UK are under pressure. In particular, the British Chamber offered to provide the Luxembourg Government with relevant market input on dividend withholding tax. The participants recognised the benefits to all of continuing dialogue and the British Chamber of Commerce is honoured to provide insight and feedback to the Government on all aspects of Luxembourg taxation, as and when may be sought.
