About this event

The People & Leadership group of the British Chamber of Commerce is pleased to invite you to a BCC LIVE Event: "Upskilling Doomed Workforces: Building a Sustainable Workforce for the 21st Century". This will take place on Wednesday 15 September at 12:30 and is FREE of charge.

With our focus on sustainability and the pillars of People, Planet and Profit, the BCC People and Leadership Group has teamed up with Lisa Francis-Jennings who will moderate a Kitchen Table Conversation on the People aspect of sustainability:

Few could have forecast how drastically work would change in a mere year or predicted the fundamental changes that think tanks and consulting firms are now scrambling to define. New industries are springing up - capitalising on the potential step-change in rapidly-paced innovation, while others are dying.

Join us for a lively and highly topical conversation about mobilising and upskilling sustainable workforces in regions that are home to dying industries and which are trying to ensure a robust and meaningful future for all employees.

Panelists:

  •   Laurent Probst, Partner, Economic Development, Digital transformation and Innovation, PwC and author of Upskill, A 6-Steps Solution to Unlock Economic Opportunity for All

  •   Soon Joo Gog Chief Futurist, Chief Skills Officer, Chief Research Officer, at SkillsFuture, (Singapore)  (featured in the book)

What is a Kitchen Table Conversation (KTC)?

A Kitchen Table Conversation (KTC) is an opportunity for people to come together, share their views, and build upon each other's concepts and ideas. This moderation approach blends specific behaviours and uses an interactive process that sparks lively and engaging dialogue around important topics. It is an innovative way to connect individual to group knowledge with a free-flowing, enjoyable and slightly rambunctious approach that allows disagreement, while throwing around ideas and netting out something extremely valuable to the group. Join us to find out for yourself.

In the latter half of the webinar we will open the floor for a Q&A.

We want you to be involved so if you have any questions for our panelists, please email info@bcc.lu.

This event is FREE of charge.

We look forward to seeing you online!
