About this event

BCC Evening Business Forum - What are the HR Challenges of today? Can HR meet the business and employee needs and will Luxembourg continue to be an attractive place?

We all know that HR has a constant challenge to meet the future needs of businesses and employees. They have to be very flexible to be able to continuously adapt to the changing speeds of business transformation. HR has to handle the complexities of having to balance costs with resources at the same time preserving motivation. The new "Y" generation has its needs too, as an existing workforce where it used to be quite easy to be successful but now it is much more difficult. HR have also to beresourceful to find new ways of working; not only in terms of salary, taxes and social aspects but to also deal with having to work within the current labour law that has not moved with the times.

The panel consists of a balanced, cross section of professionals; David has had a colourful career to date and has been a successful business coach for many years and will be discussing the changing needs of an organisation and the impact on the employees; Andres, before coming to Luxembourg worked in the Netherlands in the airline business as well as banking; Ernestina is currently teaching at the Universities of Luxembourg and Metz and the Chambre des Salaries, Luxembourg and has had a diverse career in Luxembourg working for cross section of businesses and Anne, who previously worked at Ernst & Young and also in Paris and can bring her wealth of experience as an HR Director and in particular she will be sharing the issues of being a business partner in a constantly changing environment.
Come and listen to our panellists who will briefly touch on the successes and failures of the past 20 years but will focus mainly on the challenges of HR today to meet the business needs of tomorrow.
The evening will begin at 18:30 with registration. The discussion will be followed by a Q & A session with the audience. To close the evening a buffet dinner will be served and, as always the opportunity to meet and discuss with your fellow Chamber Members. The evening should end around 22:00
