In October 2018, the Council of the BCC decided that we wanted to create closer community links to help us to understand better the heart and soul of Luxembourg. One such organisation was the University of Luxembourg, as it is developing the next generation of academics, innovators and leaders – the future workforce.

In January this year, we got our chance. The University was running its ‘Game of Jobs’, a student competition which seeks to give them skills to navigate the job market.  We were approached by the University to see if we would be the main sponsor of Job Shadowing prizes for the top six students and we quickly said yes.  As this was our first collaboration, we wanted to offer something of value but not too onerous for our members so we agreed on one week’s job shadowing senior people in six BCC member organisations.  We quickly found volunteers.

After the ‘Final Battle’ in the Game of Jobs, the top finalists were known and we worked with the University to match them with the BCC organisations.  Below is a list of the BCC members who have volunteered and we hope to bring you news of the experiences from both perspectives.
