The British Chamber of Commerce is pleased to invite you to attend a lunch with Guest Speaker Daniel Tesch, Director, Automobile Club of Luxembourg (ACL) who will speak on the subject: "YellowCab by ACL: A case study for lobbying and public discussions in Luxembourg".
Eurotest 2011, an independent test of Taxi Services in 22 European cities judged Luxembourg to be offering "poor" services in this area and placed them in twentieth position, ahead of only Rome (I) and Ljubljana (SLO).
ACL believes taxis should be a cornerstone of any mobility strategy, be it within a city or the entire country. They represent a flexible and alternative means of transport that can have consistent effects on the environment, society and the economy as a whole. Therefore taxi services must become more attractive and accessible.
By launching YellowCab by ACL, the Club has decided to use the impact of its 160.000+ members as leverage and to directly influence political decision takers and economical stakeholders alike. Daniel Tesch will use this case in order to underline how public issues can be addressed differently and more dynamically by including interested parties at every level of the discussion.
