Providing a Stepping Stone towards a Sustainable Business – The BCC is very pleased to announce the launch of a new working group dedicated to sustainability in business.

Promoting, connecting, sharing – We want to help future-proof the businesses of our members by promoting sustainability, connecting our members to facilitate conversations about sustainability and to share topical information on sustainable business practices.

Promoting sustainability in business – We leverage our local and international network to inspire our members to take action and create a better world for future generations.

Connecting – We advance sustainability in business by connecting people and creating opportunities for meaningful dialog.

Sharing- We lend a helping hand by sharing the latest insights and information allowing our members take pragmatic steps to become even more sustainable.

IMS event “From Emotion to Motion” at KlimaExpo 2022

The Sustainability Group from the British Chamber of Commerce were delighted to attend and support IMS event “From Emotion to Motion” at KlimaExpo 2022. Emotions were trigged at the start of the event with a powerful immersive audio and video experience. Videos of a changing planet experience by Frédéric Lilien, accompanied on piano by Grégoire Baumberger.

BCC Sustainability Group: The business case for gender equality in building a sustainable future

In business, ‘Sustainability’ is an interesting word; on one hand we might refer to a ‘sustainable financial growth’, i.e. ensuring that our businesses grow at a rate that can be maintained over time, but on the other hand we might also refer to a ‘sustainable business’, i.e. a business that has a minimal negative impact or even a positive effect on the environment, community and society at large. In fact, the two concepts can be extremely interconnected, especially in consideration of the mounting pressure that consumers put on corporations to embrace a more (socially and environmentally) sustainable approach to financial growth. BCC: Sustainability Today and Tomorrow

Ambassador Fleur Thomas, BCC members and guests discussed a wide range of ESG subjects related to People, Prosperity and Planet within the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
