The Business of Fire Prevention Joint Fire Prevention Event: Luxembourg & Irish Emergency Services

Over the past 20 years, 30-50 people die each year in the average of 4,500 fires that occur annually in Ireland.

The Ireland Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce is organising a collaborative event focused on fire prevention and safety. This initiative, bringing together experts from both countries, aims to enhance our awareness, discuss best practices and EU cooperation in fire safety measures.

The event will feature Andrea Nicoletti, head of fire prevention and planning unit and Mark Wilson, District Officer Fire Prevention, Dublin Fire Brigade who will provide their perspectives on fire prevention in both Luxembourg and Ireland. Beyond the current regulations in force, emphasis will be placed on the importance of investing in fire prevention.

It will be preceded by a visit to the “Centre d’intervention et secours” of the municipality of Hesperange where we will see the new facilities and equipment of a modern fire and rescue services. The Centre is about a 10-minute walk from the restaurant (Artis).

There is a maximum group size of 20 for the Centre d’incendie et de secours, so register early. Those not wishing to attend this element of the event can proceed to the restaurant for 19.30.
