On Thursday 11 January 2024, the British Chamber of Commerce for Luxembourg (BCC) held its Members’ New Year Cocktail at the British Residence in Luxembourg city centre, with around 130 members attending the Chamber’s first event of 2024.

The Chair of the British Chamber, Andrew Notter, also spoke and thanked the Ambassador for hosting the event and everyone for attending. Reflecting on 2023, the Chamber held 23 events over the 12 months. He looked forward for new opportunities in 2024 during which the chamber is organising a number of events, including a Women’s Day event on 8 March.

The British Ambassador to Luxembourg, Fleur Thomas, addressed the gathering and mentioned that she is currently meeting the members of the new government, talking about the bilateral agreement between the two countries. She also referenced geopolitics and the various elections worldwide, as well as 2024 being her last full year in Luxembourg. She talked about the vibrant and important business community in Luxembourg.

The event continued with a networking cocktail and finger-food.
