The objectives of the British Chamber of Commerce for Luxembourg are to follow and influence developments in the economic and business world in Luxembourg affecting members’ interests, and so contribute to making Luxembourg an attractive place to do business. The Tax and Legal groups of the BCC address key issues in their sectors to corporate and individual members through a number of events, and seek to raise awareness and influence decision makers as to the issues of concern to the BCC membership.
The British Chamber of Commerce for Luxembourg had the great pleasure of hosting a lunch on 20th June with guest speakers, Serge Schroeder, First Judge at the Administrative Court of Luxembourg, and Georges Simon, Founding Partner, Simon Law, who provided valuable insights and advice on the new draft law presented to parliament in March and the potential impact this could have on Taxpayers. Admitted to the Luxembourg Bar in 1997, he is a well-known and respected lawyer for over 25 years in Corporate M&A and Capital Markets, as well in Banking and Finance, with a long track record of complex transactions ranging from stock market listings, corporate finance transactions, private equity structuring and joint ventures to hostile and friendly takeovers. Pierre-Alexandre has also significant experience in corporate governance and regulatory issues.
